define the concept technology is not an easy thing, due to the lack of common

definition according to text conclusion depends upon organizations, objectives,
research background, researchers, developers, users, research areas,
disciplines and underlying perspective (theories).
So from my side I can merely say
that the multiple definitions given by the scholars through time seems to me
having something true about the matter, but I consider based on the multiple
definitions that technology can be defined as the procedures, designs, knowledge
and other factors which allows to create products for the benefit of mankind.
The benefit of mankind probably is the main objective of technology, but as it
can be proved, depends upon the use of technology which can be used for good or
bad things.

be carefully done because it must drive to an specific achievement, which is
learning of students, so first of all, integration must be done following a
model that is what the text is dealing about, and the integration must match to
the pedagogical methods.

According to the text Use of technology in English Language Teaching and
Learning (2012), there are certain facts that cannot be ignored: one of them is
English language is the language of 21st Century, It is spoken all over the
world, and text says that according to researching, 80% of the information on
internet is in English, other fact is technology has developed in this same
century so fast that it has transformed cultural world, that is technology has
transformed things like industries, economics, politics, and education, the way
as people interact has been changed by technology. These two facts shows that
teaching English and applying technology to the enhancement of teaching and
learning are remarkable things which are necessary nowadays.
4. The Advantages of Information Technology in Teaching English

English (2012) it is possible to mention some of these advantages that really
enhance the process of teaching and learning: one of them is the chance of real
communication through internet from several places of the world, improving in
our case especially (speaking and listening of the English language). Another

which encourage students to learn by themselves most times. Finally the chance
of teamwork through technology resources on the internet is other valuable
advantage of information technology which allow people work together on task,
projects, investigations, etc... In an entertaining way.
It is possible to mention many others advantages of information

information technology cannot be separated from education, and it challenges
educational systems in the sense that information society demands integration
of information technology at all levels.
5. The Impact of Using Technology
According to the text: The impact of using technology in teaching
English as a second language (2013) is absolutely necessary, the use of new
technology in teaching and learning English which is not entirely new, since
sixties the use of technology has been implemented in teaching English, small
labs consisting in cassettes decks, microphones, and headphones were the
technology of the age, helping students in acquiring the skills for handling
the foreign language, although that technology with the pass of time turned out
to be boring for students.
Development of technology has increased enormously, so it can be applied
in recent times in a more effective manner, it certainly can help learners in
enhancing the input skills: reading and listening, and the output skills:
writing and speaking. For example in order to enhance reading is possible to
surf the web where instantly can be found lots of information written in
English. To enhance listening is possible to watch TV or listening to the radio
transmitted in English. To enhance writing, computer programs like Word are
recommended, for example Word (text editor) can correct words when they are
written wrongly, this fast capability of correcting mistakes, encourage learners
to write knowing that mistakes can be corrected immediately, and consequently
they can learn how to write the word correctly. Finally to improve speaking,
new technologies like skype, gives the chance to learners of even get in touch
with native speakers which enhance speaking fluency considerably.
For new teachers is highly recommend not to avoid technology, because it
allows to change the old paradigm (from teacher-centered education to
learner-centered education) which enhance teaching and learning.
